Pooh's Adventure in the Sandhills

The Sandhills Story Trail Adventures Now in Cameron at Phillips Memorial Park! Ribbon Cutting March 19, 2024 @ 10am

Come along and enjoy the adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends along a special digital story trail at Phillips Memorial Park in Cameron. The Sandhills Story Trail Adventures was created in 2023 by the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) and their official destination storyteller, Dan Dreyer as part of the statewide Year of the Trail initiative. The 12-station trail allows parents and their children to scan a special QR code, so they can read, or listen to the adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends. The story trail is designed for children of all ages and can be enjoyed complimentary during regular park hours.

HOW IT WORKS:

There are 12 “stations” that will have Pooh and his friends on an adventure. Each station correlates to a page in the story. Using a QR code you can read and listen along with music and familiar voices of our friends in the 100 acre woods as they go on an adventure in the Sandhills. Some of the stations will be interactive. You can also download the story and read it any time here.
