Celebrate Spring

in the Sandhills

The Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen area of North Carolina is known as a 12-month destination. Any time of year is a great time to explore the Sandhills, but the season of spring is extra special. From our quaint small towns to our rolling farmlands to our parks and attractions, spring is truly bursting with color providing numerous opportunities to see a variety of flowering plants welcoming the season.

Some of the spring flowers and plants found blooming from late February through May include azaleas, dogwood, daffodils, cherry blossoms, rhododendrons, tulips and more! Some of our favorite locations to explore fabulous flowers this spring in the Pinehurst area include the Sandhills Horticultural Center, the Weymouth Center for the Ars and Humanities and the Village of Pinehurst.

When you add seasonal events, festivals and our special Pinecone Pathways Program where you can find unique glass pinecones on trails throughout Moore County, spring is a great time to and escape to the Sandhills of North Carolina.
